Ale and cigars is a really good combination and the cigars selected go so well together, we look forward to you giving it a try.
The Pale Ale and Cigars January Selection includes:
Omnipollo Leon (Levon) Pale Ale Beer – Tired of talking my friends into pit stops at beer bars before heading out? – in fear of having to drink bland lager all night – I set out to craft an ale that would act as companion throughout the evening. Leon is assertively hopped and fermented dry using champagne yeast. The yeast and the hops in combination with a simple malt bill provides the beer with a quality of being rich in taste yet refreshing. Omnipollo is an award winning beer producer that was founded in 2011 by Henok Fentie and Karl Grandin. “We conceive our recipes at home and travel to different breweries across the globe to craft our ales. Our ambition is to change the perception of beer — forever.”
La Galera Maduro Vitola No.1 Cigar – La Galera has done a great job of capturing the attention of smokers everywhere with their delicious, expertly constructed premium cigars. The La Galera Maduro Vitola No. 1 may grab your attention for another reason — its size. This stout little robusto looks harmless enough, but don’t be fooled; it will burn longer than you anticipate, and probably packs more strength, too! On the outside you’ll find a Mexican San Andres wrapper paired with a Dominican binder and two different Dominican fillers that all come together to provide rich, full-bodied notes of cocoa, leather and earth. If you firmly believe that “size matters”, try one of these immediately.
San Cristobal El Principe Cigar – The San Cristobal El Principe starts slowly but puff after puff you will start to regret that it is so short oh so short! All the flavours of San Cristobal (floral and cacao) seem to be concentrated into this Tres Petit Corona. A superb morning smoke for the experienced cigar smoker, or a real initiation for new cigar lover but make sure you have a little experience smoking this vitola, enjoy.
Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Short Torpedo Cigar – Rocky Patel is not known for making great petit coronas but he is known for the master blending of his Vintage 1990 series. This cigar is full bodied and complex, with nutty and caramel notes that go together wonderfully. The highlight of the series is the 12 years matured Honduran Broadleaf wrapper that has weakened in strength over the years but enhanced in complexity of flavours. This is a cigar that would look great in your humidor so why not give one a go!
