Germain’s Brown Flake has some questioning if there is Kentucky style leaf in the recipe. The uncertainty lies in the medium fullness of the flavour, the colouring of the flake amongst other things. In tasting the tobacco, you can tell there is mostly, if not entirely, dark Virginia present. It’s peaty, earthy and grassy with a little spice and some cigar tones. The flavours evolve throughout the bowl giving more depth towards the end. It behaves very well while smoking and doesn’t require many relights, so you may enjoy any time of the day.
