Description
Alfred Dunhill was the first pipe maker to introduce the technique of Sandblasting to the world of pipes in 1917. This amazing new finish was launched and took its name from how the sandblasting removed softer parts of the briar to revealed the beautiful shell-like patterns within the grain, the Shell White Spot Briar Pipe by Alfred Dunhill was born. Contrary to belief the briar chosen to produce Dunhill sandblast pipes is of the highest quality and not selected for its imperfections. The briar is in fact very carefully selected as a softer wood is better suited to obtain the craggy surface and is prepared by being oil treated to strengthen and enhance the grain of a Shell pipe. This pipe has a horn army mount.
This pipe has been individually photographed, so that the pipe you see in the picture is the pipe you will receive.
