nDiplomatico Reserva Exclusiva Rum Miniature is a fabulous Venezuelan dark golden rum, distilled from molasses in a copper pot still before 12 years of ageing. Rich, sweet and fruity, this rum is one of the most awarded rums with more than 20 awards to its name. n nNose:  Rich and full, with golden syrup, Demerara and a hint of treacle.  Some caramelised cooked fruit aromas.  Reassuringly weighty oak in the background – polished mahogany notes.  Hint of cinnamon, over-ripe oranges or orange liqueur and bitter dark chocolate. n nPalate:  Rich, without being sickly.  Amazingly smooth, gentle texture – like being stroked with a silk glove.  Chocolate velvetiness on the palate, with the creamy oak spices emerging again (as with the Anejo) alongside some citrus notes to counteract the syrupy sweetness. n nFinish: A sweet cocoa caress, with shimmering spices. n nRum Details: n
